The Loss Control Professional is responsible for inspecting and assessing the risk for various commercial insurance lines of business that can include Property, General Liability, Workers’ Compensation, Auto/Fleet, Products Liability, and Builders’ Risk.

Essential Duties and Requirements

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:  

  • Schedule on-site surveys to assess risks
  • Provide risk control reports to insurance industry clients
  • Provide recommendations to underwriter to control and/or correct potential loss producing conditions associated with those policies
  • Manage all assignments appropriately and effectively, within a specific time frame
  • Successfully secure customer appointments within specific territories
  • Complete all inspections and reports within a timely manner

Work Experience, Education and Skills

Required Education and Experience:

  • Proven work experience as a Loss Control Inspector/Consultant
  • Proven experience with risk assessments and loss control surveys 

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Commercial Lines Property/Casualty Loss Control
  • Commercial Lines Property/Casualty Underwriting
  • Commercial Lines Property/Casualty Claims Adjuster
  • Commercial insurance inspections
  • Fire and Life Safety Investigations/inspections
